Kia ora Mosen at Largers. Here’s what’s coming up in our next two-hour show that’s got the blind community talking.

The voice AI technology from Eleven Labs has taken the blind community on Mastodon by storm. You can use their own voices, or using audio samples, create your own AI voices that, sometimes, sound remarkably like the real thing. So what can this technology do now, where is it going, and what about the ethical minefield that technology like this creates? I’ll discuss all these issues with Mati Staniszewski who is one of Eleven Labs’ co-founders.

There’s more discussion on the Victor Reader Stream including more on how to make sure Audible books work with it.

Crank us up. Crank us up loud! Because a listener is in the market for good PC speakers. There are plenty of really groovy, grunty options out there. What would you recommend?
