Kia ora Mosen At Largers.

If you have heard the recent piece I did on meditation, you’ll know I keep a gratitude journal where I write things I am grateful for. I often reflect on the community we have built around this show, where we discuss a range of issues from a blindness perspective. On the coming show, I have a significant and positive announcement about how we are expanding the reach of this community. I’m super excited about it and can’t wait to share it with you.

Many people who listen to Mosen At Large on Mushroom FM choose to do so instead of hearing the podcast version. So this weekend, the Mushroom FM version of the show will feature excerpts from our Clubhouse discussion which took place right after the Apple spring loaded event, in which I recap some of the major takeaways from the event and listeners comment on the highlights for them. By the time we go to air, ordering for the new products will be underway. So, if you didn’t participate in that discussion on Clubhouse, let me know whether you’re ordering anything and why, or whether you’re not and why not. Me? I’m pretty jazzed that the AirTags are here at last, with one minor disappointment.

RNZ, New Zealand’s public broadcaster, have adjudicated on my complain re ableist language. I’ll read you their finding, and we’ll hear some more perspectives on this important topic which has such a significant impact on people’s perceptions of us and the creation of subconscious biases.

And finally, I think I may have something new and exciting to review. I think Bonnie may have bought me something super new and very cool for that special day that comes around once a year. If I’m right, then I’ll unbox and review it on the show. If I’m not, well, never mind, it just means more room for your contributions! I can’t lose!

As usual, there’s a wide array of blindness and technology topics from listeners on which you may like to comment once you hear them.

If you want to raise something new, you’re very welcome.

Getting your contributions in ahead of time leaves you free to hear the show, and gives me a chance to organise them all, so go for it. Please don’t be shy, I’d love to hear from you. To contribute, send an email with an audio attachment or just written down to Jonathan at MushroomFM.com, or call the listener line, +18646066736, that’s 1-864-60Mosen.

The best way to hear Mosen At Large is when it airs live and in full. Catch it on Mushroom FM, either on the station itself or in the Mushroom FM club on Clubhouse, the Mosen At Large YouTube channel and the Mosen At Large Facebook page on Saturdays at 2 PM Eastern, that’s 7 PM in the UK. It will then be available in abridged form on the Mosen At Large podcast, available anywhere you get podcasts.

Thank you so much for listening and contributing to the show and see you soon for Mosen At Large.
